10 unusual fitness workouts that guarantee a good mood
Visitors to gyms and fitness clubs are usually offered a traditional set of exercises for muscle training. But lately, there are a lot of new fitness systems that at first glance may seem very strange. One can doubt the effectiveness of many of them, but a good mood is definitely guaranteed.

1. Prancercise

In 1989, fitness aficionado Joanna Rohrbuck Rohrback jogged down Hollywood boulevards. At the same time, she put additional weights on her ankles. Joanna got bored just running and she decided to simultaneously make rhythmic movements with her hands. She described her experiments on YouTube as "a rhythmic way of getting around, similar to the gait of a horse."

In 1994, Rohrbuck wrote a book, Prancercise: The Art of Physical and Spiritual Excellence, which was never published. In addition to being a pretty good physical exercise, Prancercise also allows you to get rid of the boredom and monotony of gyms. Unusual workout has another advantage - it will suit most people and is loyal to beginners.

2. Workout in high heels

High heels are very uncomfortable. Often doctors even forbid wearing them because of the negative consequences for the body. A 2011 study found that wearing high heels can lead to osteoarthritis, as well as deformations of the calf muscles, quadriceps, and knee-stabilizing tendons. Also, some scientists believe that walking in high heels burns fewer calories, since such shoes slow down a person's walking speed. The idea of   training in such shoes sounds pretty crazy, but such training actually exists. Moreover, they are even offered in some gyms.

3. Fifty Shades of Gray

Almost everyone knows about the sensational book of the writer E.L. James "Fifty Shades of Gray" and the feature film of the same name. Workouts have recently emerged that are based on intimate scenes from the novel. Fitness trainer Kristen James has developed 13 exercises that can be done easily with just a chair and mat. The strawberry is, apparently, in the erotic names of the exercises. As James explains, the Fifty Shades of Gray workout is designed to develop the flexibility and general stamina needed to reproduce the intimate scenes from the book in your bedroom.

4. Training with jumping shoes

The unique looking boots, known as Kangoo Jumps (presumably the name is based on the word "kangaroo"), were developed in the 1990s for athletes to reduce the impact on joints of intense exercise (this technique exposes the joints to 5G). Kangoo boots allow the muscles to properly absorb impact energy. Studies have shown that they reduce shock by as much as 80 percent while protecting joints. In recent years, Kangoo Jumps have begun to be used not only in training athletes, but also in dance and fitness rooms.

5. Europlate - no movement

Few people know, but there are workouts in which you practically do not need to move. This has become possible thanks to a special simulator with a Europlate vibration plate, which the user stands on. Vibrations of the plate at a frequency of 30-50 hertz make the muscles contract and stretch, similar to what happens during normal training, only more efficiently.

The simulator manufacturers claim that 10 minutes on the Europlate is roughly equal to an hour's workout. In addition to developing muscles, such training also improves bone density, blood circulation, metabolism, overall endurance and tone. A 2009 study found that obese women who used vibration plates lost more weight than those who used regular exercise.

6. Chair-A-Cise - sitting workout

Some of the most practical are workouts that can be done while sitting, combined with reading. Trainer Daryl Madison developed the Chair-A-Cise Program as a tool for those who need exercise but don't have time for it. Now, instead of spending a few hours at the gym, you can warm up while sitting at home in a chair or even during your lunch break. Those who wish can increase the load simply by taking dumbbells. There are currently four Chair-A-Cise programs, differing in time and intensity.

7. Zuu - high intensity workouts

In recent years, high intensity training has become popular. In 2010, Australian Nathan Helberg created a unique weight loss training system based on animal movement. The training consists in the fact that the instructor pronounces the name of the animal, and the participants imitate the movements of this animal for 30 seconds. Despite the fact that these exercises look silly enough, they are very effective. Fifteen minutes Zuu can burn 500-1000 calories. The secret is that literally every muscle is involved.

8. Riding simulator

Horseback riding is actually a great workout. In terms of energy expenditure by the body, it is more effective than many exercises. Regular horse riding has been shown to improve muscle strength as well. With these facts in mind, the Koreans made the Ace Power simulator, which is designed to simulate the movement of a horse. Unfortunately, it does not imitate all the movements of the horse, but only moves in a certain way. Also, with such a training, the hands are not involved.

9. Waterwalkerz - extreme warm-up

For a long time, such an attraction as the zorb has become popular. In Japan and China, a version of the zorb has appeared in recent years, which is also an excellent substitute for training. In Waterwalkerz, which has enough air for 30 minutes, people move on the water. A walk in such a ball is not as easy as it seems - it will take extraordinary coordination. A lot of fun, and at the same time an excellent warm-up for the whole body is provided.

10. Pao Facial Fitness

Perhaps the funniest exercise machine in the world has been developed in Japan. A fitness machine for the face should remove all signs of skin aging, tighten the muscles of the lower part of the face, and also prevent wrinkles. The exercise is very simple - you need to insert the mouthpiece holder into your mouth and shake your head up and down to music for 30-90 seconds.
