7 tips for insomnia

Very often people go to bed and cannot fall asleep, and then complain of insomnia. This problem is widespread in the world - 10% of the population of industrialized countries cannot sleep normally. What are the statistics screaming about? What really steals the night from a person and why is it useless to count sheep?

The body is ready to rest, emotions are "tired", but thoughts are like a set mechanism: they are constantly spinning and spinning in my head. Why don't they turn off with the body and emotions? Because the “head” remembers very well that there are unfulfilled tasks that had to be done today, or yesterday, or even a month ago. Example: you agreed with the person that you would do something for him. Your mind determines the action to be taken, and you direct energy to this action in order to hold it, to concentrate on it.

Why does it fail?

Computer technologies were created by analogy with our human brain, primarily as an organ. How does he work? An electrochemical impulse "slips" between two points, nerve cells. This is a zero-one coding system. It is used in the programming language "0-1". When scientists created computers, they studied how humans make decisions. Based on these studies, various strategies were developed and put into the computer for how to solve some problems. A smart car has a lot of options, and therefore sometimes it seems to us that a computer solves some problems better than we do. But this is not so, it is an illusion. Our brain is a computer much more perfect than the most modern electronic computer!

We know very well that if a computer does not have enough RAM, it starts to freeze, glitch, break down. And then we usually upgrade (update), add memory, install a new program.

Our mind can also "freeze" if during the day you started a lot of things and they hang open, like a file open on the computer. This is one of the reasons why people get tired at the end of the day. When a person works physically, it is clear that his muscles get tired. But why office workers get tired is, at first glance, strange.

In fact, there is not only physical, but also emotional and intellectual fatigue. When people who have not studied anywhere for a long time come to the training, at first they have a "mental soreness." The students feel very tired. And statistics confirms that it is precisely those who earn by mental labor that sleep worse. The person goes to bed, and the computer - the mind - works. A sort of standby mode. Sometimes we close the laptop, it kind of turned off, and the programs continue to run. The same thing happens with a person. If he has open files - actions have been started during the day, then even when he goes to bed, the "computer" continues to process them. After all, he has a specific task - at least not to forget them.

Most dreams come before waking up. But many people say: "I had a dream in the middle of the night." And this means that they did not really fall asleep, they just passed out. During the deep sleep phase, which is the most beneficial for the body, dreams do not occur. If a person sees dreams all night, it means that he is not sleeping, he is simply in standby mode.

7 tips for those who can't sleep

Tip 1. If you woke up in the middle of the night, it makes sense to get up, take a paper and write out everything that is in your head now.

Tip 2. Try not to go to bed without making an excursion into the future. I suggest using the planner: conduct an evening assessment and before going to bed write out all your tasks for tomorrow, for a week, for a month, for a year, for 5 years, for 20 years. And be sure to enter meetings and all the information that you wrote down on anything during the day. Gather information and organize it.

Tip 3. Do not interpret the dream - it is a waste of time. Better use your time and energy to find your secret to sleep. The body needs sleep, and it wants to sleep at night and work during the day.

Tip 4. Throughout the day, even if you are on vacation, write down ideas in the planner. Try to avoid writing on sheets that you may lose or throw away by mistake.

Tip 5. Write books. Books are writing out unfinished cycles. A person talks about his life, remembers, lives it anew.

Tip 6. Write your memoirs. This is also a way to close your loops. Before the revolution, writing a diary was absolutely normal. Intelligent people kept diaries - they sat down at the table in the evening and described the past day.

Tip 7. Remember, at all times, during periods of crises and wars, paper and a pen or pencil were most valued - what to write on and what to write on. Not for nothing, right?
